What Will You Do
As a Senior Program Manager at Employ, you will be responsible for delivering multiple cross-functional, strategic initiatives and coordinating scrum teams globally. As a member of our PMO, you will be an important catalyst to instill an Agile mindset within our teams and more closely align to One Employ way of working. In this role, you will:
- Support one or more business units within R&D, orchestrating strategic initiatives spanning several Agile teams. Coach teams through planning and facilitate prioritization, estimation, capacity planning, dependency mapping, and risk analysis.
- Drive the program through successful delivery, actively managing dependencies, risks, and issues. Coach teams to strive for potentially releasable code each sprint.
- Be a catalyst for infusing an agile mindset and culture, bringing our teams closer together.
- Pinch hit where needed, acting as Scrum Master for one or more teams, organizing and/or facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives and ensuring resolution of impediments in partnership with Engineering Managers.
- In concert with the PMO, provide program governance, maintain delivery metrics, and facilitate effective reporting on program commitments.
- Coordinate releases for one or more products, driving collaboration across customer, marketing, and R&D teams.
- Work with the program leadership team to design and manage Agile process change across the R&D organization, working toward One Employ way of working.
- Build relationships with local Product and Engineering leaders and those in India, acting as a connector between teams, improving transparency and information sharing.
- Identify and escalate problem areas and potential solutions to get help addressing inefficiencies R&D-wide.
What Will You Bring:
- 7-10 years of experience managing Agile software development projects
- Strong relationship building and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely well organized, analytical, detail-oriented and quality-minded
- Track record in change management
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence tooling and administration
- Experience and ability to work within an Agile framework
- Scrum Master and/or SAFe certification a plus
- Experience using tools like JellyFish a plus
